Rated 1 out of 5Â by OhioPieLady I was very disappointed in the style...shame on Kitchenaid, what a bust. First let me say that the lid was designed with a lip in it (why, I don't know) which allows food to collect inside and that makes it difficult to remove (yuk). Second the designed of the 7 cup bowl is tall verses wide, this unfortunately made it difficult to chop or blend. I made my fail proof pie crust and ended up throwing it out (it could not blend the butter and flour without stopping and using a spatula to turn the dough over). I ended up overworking the dough caused by the stopping and starting when I added the water. Such a hugh disappointment....Thank you Kohl's for allowing me to return.

I was given the processor as a Christmas gift. I was very disappointed to learn that it holds 7 cups but I can't get 4 cups of shredded carrots in it without it spilling out when you remove the bowl from the base. The center column is so low that everything falls out. The machine has good power and can do the job of shredding but it doesn't live up to the capacity claim. My children bought this model because the box stated the the capacity was 7 cups. You are informed in the manual that it will not hold that much, but it's not until you have it home. Too late then!

I am very pleased with the purchase of my Kitchen Aid food processor! Has made food prep for large batches a breeze!

Admittedly, my last food processor was a super wimp, but I still think this baby has POWER! It hasn't balked yet at anything I've wanted to run through it (carrots, potatoes, frozen cheese, room temp cheese, etc). The base is HEAVY, which is a tad annoying because I keep my food processor on a shelf over my head, so I just swapped it out with something in a lower cupboard and fixed that problem. From what I've read heavy is what you want in an electrical appliance, it means they used real parts instead of plastic gears and such that break easily. I'm quite pleased.
