I really liked the looks of this set online, especially the natural oak holder, which would have nicely matched my kitchen cabinets. So you can imagine that I was very disappointed when the set arrived with a very very darkly stained cutlery holder. The quality of the knives appeared to be great, but the dull dark stain just didn't appeal to me. There is no "color" option when ordering this, and from the photo and the description you are led to believe that you are getting the light colored base.
At least I'm glad that returns are so easy at Kohl's!
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Alleycatangel Fantastic set of knives!
I have wanted a nicer set of knives for a little while, and decided to buy this set because I love Fiestaware and I love the multi colors this set offers. The knives seem very well made, the steel is from tip of knife to base of handle and very very sharp! I love the handles because they have a grip to them and when you have wet hands it does not slip. The butcher block they come in is a beautiful oak wood and adorable Fiesta pitcher shape with iconic Fiesta rings, which compliments my dinnerware. I just bought the set of steak knives to match!
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Feeknowsbest I really loved these knives online, so unique and cute for my cute kitchen. The only complaint I have is I wish the knives were a little heavier, so if you like a heavy knife like i tend to I wouldn't say they are the best but otherwise no complaints, my issue with them isnt enough for me to return them because I do love them, they are perfect and are a good value!

I LOVE Fiesta. I've ordered 2 sets of the stea knives (one for me, one as a gift that was VERY well received) which are great items, a number of flatware place settings which I'm pleased with, plus TONS of the actual Fiestware. I was prepared to love this cutlery set. It's bright, cheerful, LOOKS well made.
I did not. At all. The edges of the tops of the knives are VERY sharp (almost like you would sharpen ice skates). If you want to chop (rocking motion) using the chef's knife with your non-dominant hand on top of the knife - beware. If for any reason you place the tip of your index finger on top of the knife - beware. If your finger or hand slipped, you could slice yourself on them, seriously. I'm SO very disappointed, but they're going back tonight.
