Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed! I love this pasta press because it's so easy to use and makes perfect pasta. Before I purchased it, I watched the KA, Williams Sonoma, and other videos on You Tube; the tips were very helpful and gave me confidence as a novice pasta maker. The dies just pop apart for easy cleaning. I didn't even have to use water to clean; the dough just came right off. My first attempt was the fusilli because I used Pioneer Woman's Chicken Florentine Pasta recipe that called for a hearty pasta. I also made the small macaroni and used in chili mac. This pasta press is fun to use too and I look forward to using it with my grandchildren.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy and pleasantly surprised. I received this for Christmas. I had a hand crank pasta maker but wanted to make rigatoni. I read the reviews and just groaned, thinking that this was a going to be a dud. I watched a video on You Tube by a guy named Ben Starr, he used pumpkin and salt. I decided to try it anyway with a plain recipe of flour and eggs. ( needed a tad bit of water because it is dry today) . This was by far the best pasta that we have ever had. My husband and dad are thrilled and I will never purchase box pasta again!! So more research before you discount this attachment. It is great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great. I bought this last week to make macaroni for homemade mac and cheese. I whipped a batch of dough in the mixer, which is so much easier than using a hand mixer with dough hooks. Then a quick attachment of the pasta press. I rolled little balls of dough and fed them in. Soon nice little strands of macaroni were feeding out of the bottom. I found the letting them feed out just a little longer than you would get from a package minimized sticking together. I find home made noodles are so much tastier than store bought. And you know what went in to them. This is an adult play doh factory, and caution should be taken that too much fun cooking is not had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Liked but having problems with fusilli. I bought the past press this week and came with the rigatoni plate broken. I called KitchenAid and they take care of the problem immediately. Thumbs up to customer service. I'll receive a new plate by mail. But the reason i'm not completely satisfied is because I cannot get a fusilli right. It comes strait and not on the shape of a fusilli, I'm not sure if I have to make a very stiff dough or let it dry a little before the extrusion or if the problem is on the fusilli plate. I would love to hear some tips and tricks about making the fusilli. Today I did the large macarroni and it turned out great. Really like it but I want to love it!!
