Rated 5 out of 5 by Five Thumbs Up! I never am one to be writing a review-- I bought this for my 14 year old daughter who enjoys baking, and now we are considering getting the whoopie pie maker too. The donuts always come out perfectly and the included recipes are delicious. You could use them for entertaining by making them the base of an elegant dessert right in front of your guests. Absolutely loved it. It's also small and easy to store and clean. If there would be one criticism, it is that the middle of the doughnuts fill in mostly. But who cares when you get a delicious dessert every time. As my grandmother used to say, it all goes to the same place! 08/11/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Does not taste like donuts It doesn't taset bad, but does not taste like donuts, tastes like bread. i just used mine for the first time. Made the pumpkin spice donuts without the frosting because it got too late. I used oil but it still gets darker and firmer on the bottom. It is cute, easy to clean and basically makes donut shaped bread. It gets hot and has no handle or anywhere to really grab it from to open it. Have to use a mitt and work quickly. I used a baggie with a hols cut in the side and that made them uniform in shape. I like it, but would not consider it a donut maker, like I said, I think the cupcake or cakepop one may be better. Looking for more recipes and not finding anymore than two. 05/18/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It! I love this little gadget. First off, it is cute and I love the yellow color. Second, it works great! I have used it several times, but I do not follow the recommended cooking time, I think it is too long. I only cook mine for 2 minutes and they come out perfect every time. I use 1 Jiffy yellow cake mix, it is cheap, quick and easier than having to mix all those ingredients. One box makes about the same amount as in the recipe booklet and I prefer the taste. Then I use pre-made icing and sprinkles. It is more like a cupcake in the shape of a donut, so I feel like I am getting two for one! 07/13/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fun product Have used this one time we used a box of super moist cake mix instead of the recipes in the booklet that came with it. Was very easy to use, It did take awhile to use all the batter up, I think we ended up with 50 or so little donuts. Would be great to make for a party or get together. Each batch only took 3 minutes to cook and my kids had fun icing and putting sprinkles on them. I'm very glad I bought it. The donuts we made tasted great, if making for a party I recommend making them that day. The next day they still tasted ok, but were so much better the 1st day. 11/03/2011
