Rated 2 out of 5Â by lillyorchid I purchased this product on 6-2-14 from Target, along with a 2 year warranty on it. I've had a lot of problems with it leaking from time to time. Sadly now whenever I turn it on, water and cleaning solution sprays out of the holes on the front without squeezing the trigger to have water and solution spray. I have tried returning it to Target where I bought it, they will not allow me to do so. I tried using the warranty that I have on it to get it fixed, they will not grant it even though I have it for up to $200.00 items. The price I paid for it was $189.99. I am now frustrated because it does not work and they refuse to fix it or let me have a new one. I have video of it spraying water all over the floor and receipts of my purchase.

I have a dog, a cat, a husband, four kids, and countless friends coming and going, visiting my four kidsâ¦they all add up to one big mess, especially on my carpet. However, the Hoover MaxExtract60 Carpet Cleaner has become my new best friend after I put it to the test on a bad red stain and several other I'm-not-sure-what-they-are stains. I didn't use any special treatment on the stain before whipping out the new Hoover MaxExtract60. I simply went over the spot a few times and saw an immediate improvement. In fact, the entire living room showed an improvement after 10 minutes with the Max Extract. I've used carpet cleaners before, but they were heavier and bulkier than the Hoover. I will say it seemed like I had to go over spots more times with this machine than those in the past, but it could be because I didn't pre-treat those spots at all, or switch to the scrubbing brush attachment. It was a cinch to put together out of the box and the cartridges explained easily where the cleaner goes, where the water goes and where the dirty water ends up. Yeah, that's gross, but the dirt has to go somewhere. (Special note: I was provided a sample of this product for review but was not otherwise compensated and my opinion remains my own.)

When I learned we would get to review the Hoover Max Extract 60, I was beyond excited! I had never owned a carpet shampooer before and was excited to see what this could do. I had only used one of those rented Rug Doctors when I was in college to clean a rental. I can not believe how expensive those are. I looked on their site and they retail for [$]. I also calculated the cost of renting one which was around $50 for one day. That's great, but I could use my new Hoover only five times and it would pay for itself. Not too bad when you have kiddos, right? When we got the carpet cleaner out of the box it came with a few pieces to assemble. It was very easy to assemble and the directions were very clear. The Bandit quickly seen that one compartment was marked detergent and the other water, so it was very easy to set up. We had a little fun and really wanted to put our new carpet shampooer to the test. I had the Bandit color with marker on a piece of scrap carpet. I gave him some ravioli and orange juice that he spilled on the carpet. He thought this was too much fun! We rubbed it in to the carpet and then picked up any large pieces of food. So, how does it work? After going over the carpet several times, all of the stains actually came out! We love that the carpet was dry so quickly. This is so important especially when you have children. No wet socks! The 60 counter rotating brushes really do their job when removing the stains. The trigger to wash was so convenient and it was very easy to move across the carpet. I love that it separates the clean and dirty water. It was also very easy to fill, empty, and clean. We give this deep carpet cleaner an A+! We were quite impress after it cleaned the mess we had made!I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tesa @ 2 Wired 2 Tired My Carpets Have Never Been Cleaner!
We have a 5- and 6-year old, and at one point had 3 dogs and 2 cats. Even though our kids are a bit older and we now have no pets, our carpets have acquired many stains over the years. I've tried typical bottled carpet cleaners and stain removers with no result. I even tried borrowing my mother-in-law's ancient carpet cleaner and while it did make the carpet seem a bit brighter the stains and marks remained. When I heard about the Hoover MaxExtract60 I was excited. It looked like a great carpet cleaner with many features that would help us finally get our carpets clean. Unboxing and assembling the MaxExtract 60 was simple. We had it together in a matter of minutes. After reading through the helpful instruction book I was ready to go. I poured the 2X solution into the reservoir up to the first line as instructed, then I filled the rest of it with water. I put water in the rest of the tank, twisted the knobs closed, flipped the switch to "wash" and hit power. The MaxExtract was easy to use. Following the directions I squeezed the trigger and pushed it forward and pulled it back in short passes. Any spots where there were stains, I let it sit for a little while longer so the SpinScrub brushes could do their work. I then went back over the entired carpet without holding in the trigger so that the the heated cleaning feature could help speed drying time. When I was done, I was excited to see that all of our stains were gone completely and that my carpet, even while still a bit damp, looked like new again! Emptying the water tank was simple, it reminded me of my vacuum cleaner, push down on a button/tab, pull, and empty. The water in the tank was truly filthy which I was bothered by. I couldn't believe how much dirt was in our carpets, the same carpets we lay on, sit on, and play on every day! So the MaxExtract 60 did it's job and well enough that I can't wait for the carpets to dry so I can use it again! I would recommend the Hoover MaxExtract 60 to anyone looking for a new carpet cleaner. I've been very pleased with it and how simple it is to use. It's something I see myself using at least once a month (if not more) and before any big events or parties. I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.
