I have ordered this item in hopes to use immediately but found the item was not complete as description indicated on the site. I called for assistance and proceed with requesting another as per the request of csr. However I received the second item the same way the first was sent and that is without the hose that attaches to the machine. Very disappointed after hoping it was packaged originally without the hose the first time around. I was proactive on the second one and ordered the part from another vendor the same day in order to complete the accessory and not loose time. The on site description should read hose not included.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Xyza2 Food Saver Wide Mouth Jar Sealer works great
This product works as advertised. I use it to take two cups of chopped lettuce vacuum sealed. and one cup chopped mixed vegetables. Put them in a cooler and for lunch blend them together add salad dressing and enjoy. My answer to dieting...so far have lost 47 pounds. It works because I have a meal which is planned and I am not making up my mind at the last minute and going for that 1800 calorie quarter pounder with fries (super sized).

I ordered two of these and have used it on many occassions. My second one found another home quite quickly after showing a few family members the benefit of this device. I do not own a Food Saver machine but a brake bleeder works the same way however you have to have strength in your hands in order to get a proper seal. Now just need to get the regular size and I will be set.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by ElectraDesigns Used for Jars of Fresh Juice
I have had this for about 2 weeks and love it for making and storing fresh veggie juices in mason jars. It's fast, efficient, easy to store and move, and requires no clean up. It didn't work for green smoothies, probably because there is too much air whipped into the smoothie from my high speed blender, but it works great for juices, which is all I have used it for so far. Green smoothies make a big mess, so I wouldn't advise using this for smoothies. When I make juice, I fill the jar to about 1" below the top, put the attachment on, plug in my food saver, attach the tube, and suck out the air. The whole process takes a minute because I move my food saver from a table to the counter and plug it in. The actual sucking takes maybe 5 seconds per jar. The seal holds well and keeps my juice fresh so it doesn't oxidize. That way I can make juice in batches without loss of nutrients.
