My son loves his frog. Before he was walking he pushed it as he crawled, and it was definitely a favorite after he began walking. He is 2 now and still will pull it behind him as he walks - it's very cute. The paint does wear a little from where he drags it on the floor (on the wheels and on the top of the eyes from being upside down), but it is all just normal wear from being overplayed with.

After reading the stellar reviews I bought this toy for my 18 month old grandson for Christmas. It looked great in the package but once he opened it and started trying to pull it around the "cons" became glaringly apparent. First of all, the string he has to hang onto to pull the frog is too short!!! And there's no handle or "ball" for him to grasp so he was naturally wrapping the string around his hand to pull it which practically lifted the toy off the floor. The pull string is no wider than a shoelace. My grandson is not tall for his age so I knew his height wasn't the issue. Also, the frog tips over at the slightest jarring or sharp turning; only stays upright when it is gently pulled forward or in a arced turn. Ridiculous. Don't waste your money. This toy will end up in the back of a closet or bottom of a toy box.

We got this as a gift. When we opened it, we noticed the paint was bubbled on the eye. Within a week, the paint started chipping and peeling off. We own a few of Melissa and Doug wooden puzzles and this is our problem with their products. It's a well constructed toy and my son enjoys it, but we are disappointed in the quality of the paint on the eyes.

My daughter received this as a gift. She loves her froggie, but unfortunately the back wheels do not rotate and he therefore does not 'hop'. She loves to pull him around, but he now has unnecessary wear on the back wheels from being dragged which has exposed rough wood.
