This is a fun game for children and they really enjoy the creative way the can lace. The laces are long enough that there is more than enough to make your own patterns with the stitching. My warning with the activity is that the boards are not sanded smooth enough so when the laces go through the holes, they become snagged. It didn't take long for the laces to look quite ragged. With that said, if you don't mind replacing the laces, the boards will last a long time and bring lots of hours of entertainment to even the smallest child.

These lace-up animals are a fantastic way for toddlers to practice their fine motor skills. I don't plan on using the "trace" feature, as the shapes are so rounded that I don't think it would make much of an animal on paper. But I purchased this set for lacing, not tracing, so I'm very happy with the product. Even if your little one doesn't "get" the idea of threading the string around the perimeter, one hole after the next, any kind of threading will be beneficial for little fingers. Recommend!

I used these in the Montessori classroom I worked in, as well as with my daughter at home. Great quality and lovely assortment of animals!

I read the reviews and thought this would be nice for hand-eye/coordination skills for my 3 year old, but he is not that in to it yet. He would much rather tie the laces around everything in the house including his sister. I have put them up until he gets a little older. They seem to be made very well and I'm sure will last until my daughter is his age.
