Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect first puzzle! Our 18mo son picked this out for himself at the store today. He's been starting to get interested in this sort of thing, and has a M&D shape sorting cube that can put some of the piece in with a lot of help. This puzzle is great for him; he can place all the pieces in the correct positions, and the first few times he did it, he absolutely squealed in joy and clapped for himself. The pieces are sturdy and chunky, great for little hands. The images are interesting (two of his favorite words are "gog" and "gak" for "dog" and "cat"). The holes have just enough of a gap around them that he can slide the pieces into place. Overall, this is a wonderful product! 11/13/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Introduction to Jigsaw Puzzles Melissa and Doug Chunky Puzzles are some of my favorites and this version does not disappoint. Pieces are easy to manipulate by small hands and are mindfully cut into pieces that "make sense." Head, tail and legs are the main pieces which allow adults to provide simple verbal cues and minimal assistance when little ones are first learning. 06/13/2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not made to withstand slobber. My 15 month old son loves this puzzle. The pieces are large enough to stand up on their own. I like it because it's bright colors are appealing! However, because he still mouths his toys - the paper has begun to peel off of the puzzle pieces (it didn't take long) which makes me sad. Still gave it four stars, because if my son were the recommended age (2 years), this probably wouldn't have happened. 12/05/2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Daughter Loves it! We bought this for my 20 month old Daughter and she loves it. She has no problem putting the pieces in the correct spot and did not need much assistance getting started. She loves the animals and is learning to say their names and the sound they make. It was the last thing she played with before going to bed and the first thing she played with when she woke up. 06/23/2009
