The ink pad was too exposed the kids couldn't use it pick it up to use it without getting ink all over there hands. The second time we played with it the ink seemed to be drying out. By the third time the ink was pretty much gone. I would recommend fewer colors, with a larger pad area. Even with my five year old the colors were getting mixed on occasion because the pad was small. We will keep the stamps but we threw away the ink.

I bought this as a gift for my 2.5 year old daughter as a reward for potty training. I was impressed with how good the stampers were designed for small hands and quality of the wood, but was disappointed that after opening the box and only a few minutes of play the ink seemed to be not so moist and almost dry with some of the colors.. I still like the stampers and will plan on buying separate ink pads in the future.
Rated 4 out of 5Â by DD Mom Great Product for DD Adults
For Adults with Developmental Disabilities, specifically fine motor skill problems it is helping with holding, pushing, stamping etc. the handles are great! They open a world in which families or the adult may create a job for themselves. Wish you had more stamps, more complex stamps all with handles. A little larger for Adult hands.

The stamps themselves are cute and seem well made however it's a brand new set (just opened) and the ink is completely dry. I tried adding water so we could use the set but it didn't work either. Very disappointed, M&D is usually so great I don't mind paying extra for it but now I have to find non toxic, washable stamp pads so we can use the stamps.
