Rated 5 out of 5Â by Grandma JAM Great game - replacement pens available
We bought this as a gift for our 6 year old grandson. It is used mainly in church to keep our 6 and 10 year old grandsons busy but quiet. It can be a bit noisy in a quiet setting (flipping over the "tiles"), but I put adhesive felt pads on the back sides of the tiles and that helped. I'm going to try clear pads over the front sides to see if that helps too. This game is also being taken on their upcoming trip to Disney World for entertainment in the airport and on the plane. Our pen is still working fine, but this game may last forever so I sent an e-mail to the company asking about replacement pens and they said they are available. So contact them for information on price and procedure.
Rated 3 out of 5Â by MonValleyMom Great Concept....but......
My 5 year old daughter loves hangman, so I thought this would be great for her. The concept is great, but the way that you need to flip the pieces is way too hard for the age child that would play with this. She has to play with an adult and that was not the idea of this. Also, the flip pieces are attached with heavy duty bungee bands which I feel have the potential to loosen over time. Although this company is known for quality wooden toys, A plastic flip board would be better......

I bought this for my 5 year old for having a good report card. She loves it,as does, her 10 yr. old brother and 14 yr. old sister. She ALWAYS wants to play hangman. It is helping her with her spelling, it's getting better and better. She loves it when she "hangs" somebody. My only concern is finding a replacement pen, you should offer them for sale. Our pen died on day 3 and it would be nice to have one that fits in the holder and has the eraser on the end.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by myrtle What a Classic!
This has been the best toy for my 5-year-old who is learning to spell and read. He can play by himself or with me. This has made a classic game a FUN game! It is also WONDERFUL for the CAR and around the infant, since I don't have to worry about small pieces getting lost or into the baby's mouth. It's a quick grab and go toy. My only suggestion is to put the logo on the main board instead of the white board to maximize the writing space.
