I had been looking for tangram puzzles for my 3 year old when I came across this set. I was by no means disappointed with my purchase - they were an instant hit! My daughter is now 4 and she still plays with them weekly, as does my 2 year old nephew. They are very versatile - you can put them together the traditional way or use the pieces on their own to make your own designs. My older nieces (8 and 9) like to have 'races' to see who can put their choosen puzzle together faster. The price is also simply unbeatable - Highly Recommend! :)

I thought this would be more like the chunky puzzles that have grooves in them to keep the puzzle pieces in place, but its just a thin wooden board with colorful pictures on them. The boards are pretty difficult to get out, because they are almost the same size as the box. So, when they're all in there, there's pretty much no room to put your finger in to get them out.
Other than that, my son kind of enjoys playing with it. He likes to stack all of the same color shapes on top of each other on the picture.

I bought these pattern blocks for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas. Since Melissa & Doug products are always great quality and educational, I knew I couldn't pass these up! My daughter loves them! The only disappointment was that two of the diamond shapes are stuck together. I tried to break them apart, but it looks like I'll have to have my husband give it a shot. Other than that minor issue, I highly recommend this product for it's imaginative and educational benefits!

We bought this toy for our daughter over 6 years ago(when she was 2) and it is still a favorite of hers. As homeschoolers, we like to find good educational toys that are still fun. This product has been great for this. She has used it to learn colors, shapes, and develop an understanding of basic geometry. While she still uses it in her spare time or art time, her little brother is now using it for his education and we are about to purchase the magnetic one for on the go.
