Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent purchase This beginner pattern block set is an excellent early learning tool. The two-year old that I purchased it for is learning her shapes and colors from the set, as well as seeing shapes within common objects: birds, fish, buildings, trucks, etc. Her mother enjoys the oral communication that this set encourages, as the little girl has a speech disability. The package includes a storage place for the pieces, but I purchased a cloth bag for them. I have already purchased the more challenging magnetic set for her next level of learning. I am a teacher, and this product is a winner! 01/20/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great toy! My son was 2 when he got this puzzle, as we were working on colors and shapes. It was easy enough that he did not get frustrated, and he loved all of the different pictures. Since the puzzles are double sided it was easy to do many puzzles each time we got the box out. He was very proud of recognizing the shapes and putting the different puzzles together. He's 3 now and he still loves the puzzles as much as he did a year ago. A lid with a latch may be nice, but it hasn't stopped us from having fun. 09/17/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy My son and daughter love these pattern block sets! My son (4) has the more advanced set, but still loves to do this one too. My daughter is a little over 2 and enjoys putting the shapes in and flipping over to the pattern on the other side. The shapes are also fun to play with on their own - my son loves to use the wooden box and build all sorts of things with the shapes....fun toy and great buy! 11/14/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great toy I just bought this toy for my son 28 months old, since i have noticed he loves to play with it at his friend's house. He has no problem completing the shapes, but does not get bored at all, flipping and doing another one , an another one. Also you can teach basic math with it, he counts how many triangles and squares are there in each puzzle etc. 11/04/2010
