Very bad quality--daughter was just going to make a smoothie and as we removed the top portion to pour, the unusual noise turned out to be a broken plastic nut . She in only 14 and not that strong so go figure how this blender could not even perform well for the first try! Do not buy! 06/09/2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by I would not recommend I am quite disappointed because I always believed in the Black and Decker brand name. This blender is very loud. I like to make a smoothie to go early in the morning but hated to use it when other family members were still sleeping. It sometimes would take 3 or 4 attempts to make one drink with having to poke around the pitcher with a knife to move the fruit and the ice. But I guess you get what you pay for. This blender finally died after 6 months and I am happy that now I can buy a better one. Like the other review said: I hated this blender! The only thing I liked was the glass pitcher instead of plastic and that is why I bought it. 06/04/2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Noisy, and couldn't even blend a banana with milk I HATE this blender. My old blender was more than 20 years old and finally died. I make the simplest smoothie in the world--a cup of milk and a banana, no ice. This blender couldn't even handle that. After a minute of extremely loud blending, there were still chunks of banana unblended. I left it on for another three full minutes and left the room because it was so noisy (much more than my previous blender). When I came back, most of the chunks were gone, but the smoothie was WARM--not just room temperature, actually WARM. Not exactly the refreshing drink I was looking for. We have also tried to use this for frozen margaritas, and it can't handle ice at all. Piece of JUNK! 06/23/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by WEDDING PURCHASE I bought this on line as a wedding gift and had it shipped. I would NOT personally use this item. Only problem - TRYING to take it OFF the wedding registry AFTER a gift is purchase from the registry. I had to PRINT off the proof of purchase and then make a special trip to KOHLS, twice, with the printed proof of purchase so the service desk could take it off. The first time I went to Kohls the service desk told me to 'wait a few days cause it might take awhile for the registry to update once a purchase is made from the registry log on." Well that did not occur. There has to be a smoother way to include information or directions on the site as to how to remove online registry purchases. 07/03/2014
