This little machine really does the job spot cleaning. My only warning is it makes you realize how dirty the rest of the carpet is.

This is a great little machine. Well worth the price. I have pets that periodically make messes, and I bought this Bissell after an unusually bad night of pet accidents. I knew I'd have to rent a carpet cleaner or purchase a cleaner. Knowing there will probably be messes in the future I opted to purchase. This great little machine took out numerous spots without using a whole lot of solution, and not much elbow grease. I love the automatic feature - turn it on and three minutes later it's done. It also has a handheld brush feature which I use on real small spots. SO glad I found this Bissell!

This is the second unit I've purchased. I think I wore out the last one with all the messes two dogs and a cat can make. It also works for the drips and spots that my teenage leaves. I love the way I can push a button and come back to no spot. There have been a few (and I mean a very few) that I had to retreat. I use the hand tool for lines of spotting that seem too small for the full circle. Yes, it does leave a circle, but I usually rub the edge out with a towel. It's easier to do when the carpet is still wet. The Spot Bot Pet is probably the only reason why we still have the second dog.

My grandmother thought this would be great for helping her with some smaller spots from her cats without having to spend time scrubbing or lugging out bigger machines. It is too heavy for her and not easy to get around. In addition, she complained she had to change the water between spots. Although usually you probably won't have multiple spots to do (except when its new) it seems like it would be annoying if you say spilled something and had a longer spill. It also didn't work well for her short carpet, but that could be because she was trying to use it in an area close to a wall.
