I purchased this toaster oven primarily to replace my 4 slice toaster and was excited about all the additional functions. The toasting function was terrible; takes forever to toast (makes the bread extra dried out - like a crouton - and the oven requires heating up before toasting can happen effectively, adding to how long it takes to toast), is uneven/onesided (yes, I followed the exact directions on where to put the racks etc specifically for toast) and the ticking sounds of the timer is loud and annoying, and since it takes so long, the ticking goes on forever! So I had to return it because I was way less than satisfied with the toasting function. It's too bad; I was happy with the other functions.

All of my appliances in my kitchen are made by Kitchen Aid, so when my old Black & Decker toaster oven broke, I found this oven on the Kohl's website. It is a large oven and works really well! I wanted an oven that would be able to hold my casserole dish and this oven can do just that! It has an even heating due to the four elements. It also comes with two adjustable shelves. It has good sized knobs that turn easily. Some buyers complained that it was difficult to read the info on the knobs and I think that's because they are very shiny and the writing could be darker. That has not been a problem for me. My only complaint is that you have to pre-heat the oven to make toast because it takes over 1-minute to warm up! That's due to the interior size of this unit. That said, when it makes toast, your toast is evenly toasted on the top and bottom! This truly is a very good oven, made by a named brand, and not outrageously expensive!

I gave this as a gift to my daughter in law while visiting. It cooks surprisingly even. I wish it were a little bigger though. It will not fit a 13 x 9 pan. When putting a whole cake batter into a pan that does fit (glass), the middle bulged so much and uncooked in the middle that I had to take the cake out, cut down the middle to get it to cook. It was still very uneven. This was the only issue I had. I will cook two different batches next time, but that defeats the purpose of why it was purchased. Cookies and rolls turned out even. I do wish I'd spent a little more and purchased one with a convection oven.

I like the pan it doesn't rust its painted. I have bought other Toaster Ovens before and the pans rusted out after washing them.
The only problem I have with it that the numbers are on the dial and very hard to see.
It works well in the area that I have it. It makes great pizzas.
Having the pan below the grates collects all the fats off the meats.
I like my Kitchen Aid Toaster Oven.
