Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coatings are chipping I ask that Carol S. of the Kitchenaid ReviewTteam please stop asking the people who post on here to write another review and forward it on to their review department. I think if she would reflect on it a moment she could do something that would save both of us an extra step. She could send it on herself. I expect better from Kitchenaid. The split in the coating leaves a place where germs can breed and be passed on to every batch of food mixed in the future. This would never pass a Health Department inspection in a commercial restaurant and does not pass my inspection either. So what do I do now Kitchenaid?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Coating Chips I love my Mixer! I have had my mixer for about 10 years, but I have had to replace the beater blade several times due to the coating that chips off. I always hand wash the blade and it does not rub against the bottom of the bowl. I used it again last night and had to toss out my dough as another piece flakes off into the batter. On top of that now my mixer is making a terrible sound as iff it is wearing out. I fear it is time for a new mixer. I had hoped it would last longer than 10 years. I could see if i used it daily, but I use it only a fe times a month. Very disappointed and not wanting to replace yet another blade. After redoing the reviews of the burnished blade, I don't know if I even want to try that one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from paint chipping off Great product except for the paint chipping off in my food.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beater paint chips off I'm disappointed in the poor quality of this beater since the paint is chipping off and getting into the food. The replacement options, based on the reviews, do not seem very promising. What can't Kitchen Aid make a high quality product like they did many years ago?
