I still need to do a little more research on recipe's for GF bread for bread machines, my first attempt was a failure next one was a little better because I took it out to knead it instead, but still not great. Now I have ordered GF bread mix to use, also unsure of the GF setting as it is not done when it gets to that setting. On line it says w/thermometer middle of bread should be 200-210 degrees to be considered done and not gooey. I can't add more time to the setting for Gluten free. I need to look into this more and try again, I'm not giving up, but not as clear cut as i thought it would be to use.

Machine works well but seems to be excessively complicated with a lot of settings. The worst thing about the machine is the controls are on the top to the back. This was purchased for my mother who has very low counter tops and it is still impossible to see the control screen without standing on a stool. My mother is 5 foot 1 and I am 5 foot and we cannot see the screen standing on the floor. If I had it on my counter tops I would have to stand on the second step of a step ladder to see it. It would be much better and more usable to have put the controls on the side or at least the screen to the front instead of the back.

I had the 200 series bread maker prior to buying this one, the 100 series. The metal tub that holds the bread dough worked much better than the previous bread makerâ¦it actually twisted into place, versus the 2 wimpy clips in the 200 series. BUT, the machine just didn't cook the bread correctly. And, I use my bread maker MOSTLY for pizza dough and it just didn't knead and rest the dough, it partially cooked itâ¦so the two attempts at pizza were terrible. So, I returned the bread makerâ¦now in search of another!
Rated 1 out of 5Â by kaybee2 I love Kohl's and love Cuisinart and needed a new bread machine so I thought this would be a winning combo. Unfortunately, I ended up returning the machine after several attempts (and lots of wasted ingredients) because the paddle did not operate properly and kneaded everything unevenly. I've purchased coffee-makers and food processors from Kohl's and Cuisinart and LOVE them. Maybe this was an isolated lemon, but I wasn't willing to take another chance.
