Rated 1 out of 5 by Design & Quality has changed on this item! I purchased a whole set of this flatware in 2007, and ordered a supplementary set in June of 2013. It's hardly the same silverware! The weight has decreased, the edges are not as finely shaped- they feel sharper and cheaper now. There is a FOOD NETWORK stamp inked in black onto the back of the head of the pieces, instead of imprinted (pressed) subtly into the handle/stem like in my previous set. Comparing the old Chive set to the new Chive set Kohl's is selling now, you would NOT pay for the new set. What a shame- the first set was great, which is why I tried to get some more. All in all, this set is overpriced for the quality you'll be receiving. 06/17/2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rust spots right out of the box! I got these a few days ago as a wedding present. I'm very sad because I love the way this set looks and feels-- it's a beautiful design and they feel very sturdy. I took them out and right out of the box I noticed some pieces with rust spots, and others had dimples which would probably more than likely rust over time. I gave them a fair shot, and put the rusty ones aside. We used them a few times and also began to notice that some of the top edges of the flatware were super sharp, while others were nicely beveled and not sharp at all. Inconsistency drives me crazy. Unfortunately had to return them. Love Kohls though, I destroyed the box and they let me return them. 06/22/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple Elegance I bought this product because it isn't like most silverware out there, it isn't flimsy metal which bends when someone presses down too hard. The one thing which I was worried abut was if the silverware was wide enough to be comfortable in hand because they look rather narrow. Fortunately my worries we're groundless. I highly recommend this product, it is durable, comfortable and elegant without being overly ornate. 08/25/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointed I ordered this online, after looking at a Kohls store 100 miles from home. I love the style, and the heft of the pieces. It's very nice! However, my set came with 2 defective spoons, and all the pieces have some level of light scratching on them, new out of the plastic sleeves. I called the number in the package, as I don't have a Kohls nearby, and talked to someone at Cambridge Silversmiths. She was very helpful, and when I told her the situation she said "we'll be sending you a new set", and that the scratching was not normal. She took me at my word - I didn't need to jump through any hoops, or even send back the original set. However, when the new stuff came, it was the same (or a little worse) than the first. This time the box looked a little beat up, and the plastic sleeves did too, so I think it was returned. Overall, this set looks more scratched AND has more manufacturing defects. Now I'm looking at ways to polish it up, because I do like the design. But if I lived closer to a good shopping area, I'd be looking at more options, or at least exchanging for a set I could open up and examine on the spot. 11/23/2014
