The gray might as well be black. They are extremely dark. I would like to be able to purchase a package of three or more pair of quality charcoal gray socks. No luck here.

The first set of identical sox a year ago were perfect. These have about half which are way too small in spite of being the "exact same kind."

My fiance has bought Gold Toe socks for years, and I spent a long time trying to buy the same ones that he already has (a dress crew sock, used for everyday wear). These came and I can tell that they are way too long to fit him comfortably (in the foot and up the leg, almost up to the knees). He is shoe size 10.5, a bit shorter than average, but it seems these would go halfway up the calf of even a tall man. So I don't think they should be called crew socks.

I had Gold Toe socks that wore out and could not find them locally. These seemed to be the same sock, so I ordered them. The major difference that I can see is that these "crew" socks are a full 4" higher than the ones I had. That to me is not a crew sock. Yet it seems to be the shortest one offered. I can live with them as they are the same light weight and comfortable. Yet, as I don't wear them with a suit, the shorter length would have been preferable.
