I purchased this scale a few years ago and only used it occasionally. I liked the slim size, which meant I could store it easily and pull it out when needed. I started to measure some pasta a few days ago, and the readings were really weird. Whatever I tried to weigh was way off, and the ounces always came up as 3/2. I tried replacing the batteries, but this didn't help; so I turned it over to my engineer husband. He couldn't get it to work either, so it ended up in the garbage. I am now looking for another one in a different brand. This one is too pricey for such a short life.

Bought this scale 8 months ago and thought at the time that it was too expensive. I'm glad I chose it. I have lost 30 pounds using it and have no more weight to lose. It measures in ounces or grams. You can set your plate on it, hit the button to zero it out and then add each food item (zeroing out between each item) to calculate your total meal calories. The digital display pulls out, which seems like it would not be used, but when you place larger dishes on the scale without that feature you would not be able to see the display. I could not live without it. Works great. When the weighing starts to act flaky (flashing and can't make up find about the weight), just change the batteries and all will be good again.

I bought this scale about a year ago, the screen has slowly died. It's not the batteries, I checked. Turns on, but you can't see anything. This is not something I use frequently, so it was disappointing to waste the money on it.
