It makes perfect yogurt! I used to put milk in oven with light on, not anymore, this is nice and clean, I totally love it.
Below is how I make my perfect yogurt:
1. Boil the whole milk
2. Add sugar to the milk
3. Pour the milk into the jars and wait till it's warm, around 115°F
4. Mix 1 table spoon of Greek yogurt with 1 table spoon of milk (any yogurt will work, but I like the taste of Greek yogurt)
5. Put above yogurt mix into each jar, just 1/2 - 1 tea spoon for each jar, mix it.
6. Place the jars in the yogurt maker, set 10 hours and push the red On button.

As all women, my doctor urged me to eat more calcium-rich yogurt, and I try to eat yogurt every day. Many years ago, I had a yogurt maker but with all the changes and moves life brings, it became lost. I know that homemade yogurt is much less expensive that the purchased variety and that you know the exact ingredients in the yogurt. I stopped at Kohl's store looking for a yogurt maker, but there were not any in stock, however, a very helpful salesperson and I looked through Kohls.com at the online kiosk and there were several yogurt makers to chose from. I am very happy with my yogurt maker; it is simple to use and the yogurt I make is delicious.

I read several reviews before choosing this yogurt maker. I thought the person that said the timer didn't work just had a lemon of a machine and I purchased this one anyway. The timer does not work at all on my machine. I now just take note of when I start the yogurt and set my kitchen timer so I know when it will be done. The machine itself does a nice job, and I like that I don't have to transfer the yogurt from one pot to small containers (one of the reasons that I bought this). Buyer beware...the timer is a problem on this machine.

This product is easy to use and makes excellent yogurt. Start with the basic recipe in the booklet and search the internet for more variations.
If you expect to make the same yogurt (all plain, all vanilla, etc.) you might want to consider the machine that makes one big batch instead of the seven individual portions you get with this model. When I purchased this model I thought I would put different fruit in each jar, but it's easier to made all plain, or vanilla, and mix fruit with yogurt in a bowl right before eating.
