I bought this to use on my 8-year-old son, so save the $18 per cut at the kids hair cut place. I loved that a DVD was included to show you how to do certain cuts with the tool. Still, if you are not accustomed to using clippers, there is a learning curve. It is a pain to clean these. To get all the hair out you have to unscrew the blades and remove them. The oil/lubricant to keep the blades working properly is included, so there is no excused not to use it.
I think I will like these the more I use them. Definitely saving $$!

I was using conair and it gave up after 6 year. This one is bit heavier but cuts better than that. I comes with a box so easy for storage. It comes with various sizes comb upto 1". I was looking for 1" comb because I generally keep the top hair bit longer. The only thing I noticed is that when I switch off, it trips the power switch near the power socket where I plug it in. I have no idea why that happens. Every time I switch off in between haircut that happens. Bit annoying, Otherwise I like the quality of the product and would recommend anyone looking for a product with low budget. It is just few months since purchase, I will wait and see how it performs in long run.

When I am using this unit my hand always hits the power button, which is inherently buggy anyway, cheaply made, and it keeps shutting off on me. I get the sense the power switch will stop working soon, but it is an inexpensive unit, you get what you pay for.
If you don't mind voiding the warranty, it looks like it could be taken apart easily to jump out the switch, so that you could turn it on and off by plugging it in, and unplugging it to turn it off, bypassing the switch altogether by soldering a wire across the switch terminals.
Other than that the trimmer itself works well, so it may be worth buying another after what I suspect will be a short life for this unit due to the power switch problem.

Nice clipper. Works well. Have not noticed any of the problems some others have had with this unit. Like any new mechanical device, there was a short learning curve to get the feel for how it operates. I would recommend a good silicone lubricating spray for the cutting blades instead of the oil provided because it helps keep the blades cleaner and the hair does not clump up as easily. Plus the silicone spray helps keep the blades sharper. Good value for the money.
