Rated 5 out of 5 by A Must Have I am surprised to see the negative reviews that have been posted (doesn't cook evenly, difficult to clean, etc). This waffle maker is awesome!!! The waffles turn out golden brown every time and it is so easy to clean. I followed the manufacturer's instructions, heating it up and applying a thin layer of vegetable oil the first time. I also used the recommended amount of batter being careful not to overfill. It doesn't take much to clean- I just wipe it down with a damp cloth & it's ready for next time. This is not the kind of Belgian waffle most of us think of (thick-restaurant style); it is more of a thin waffle like the frozen name brand. 05/31/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Makes great waffles This appliance is small but does an excellent job. My only complaint is there were no instructions packed in the box leaving us to wonder just how to use it. No problem just go to the Chefs Choice site and download the instructions right? WRONG there are no instructions there to download or even read. Fortunately the gadget is so good we only had one mishap (no idea how much batter to pour in). The waffles it makes are close to perfect and fast. And so is the product...if we only had the instructions. 12/29/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Takes FOREVER It takes approximately 10 minutes or more to make 1 decently crisp waffle. The 2 settings mean absolutely nothing, as the timer beeps several times before the waffle is done. So either I leave it in there for about 4 beeps from the timer, or just take it out, and put the waffle in the toaster. For the price, I would have expected a more efficient appliance 02/18/2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product I like this waffle maker. My only problem is that it's described as a Belgian Waffle and it is NOT what you would traditionally think of as a belgian waffle maker. It produces a thin waffle and when ordering belgian waffles in restaurants they are at least an inch thick. Other than that it is a great product. Each waffle comes out golden brown from the first to the last. 01/19/2013
