Just getting used to cooking for myself. Another widower recommend a pressure cooker as a way to provide convenient meals with wonderfully tender meat. He was right! This cooker was very easy to set up and use, thanks to good design and a helpful instruction/recipe book. After about an hour, I added veggies to my pot roast for the final few minutes, observing the safety rules, and ended up with a great meal. Roast was fork tender. And cleanup was a snap. The removable nonstick pot was clean with some dish soap and cloth, without scrubbing. Everything was clean and stowed in minutes.

Pressure cookers are invaluable in the kitchen. They make life easy and cooking quick. I own a few regular pressure cookers, but this one is my favorite now. Push the buttons and walk away. You can make anything from soup to whole chickens or cheesecake in a matter of minutes. The only thing you can't do is run it under cold water to cool it down faster. It has a pressure petcock to release the pressure, but it won't cool quickly. I love it and recommend it for sure.

I have been wanting to get a pressure cooker for years to make the wonderful Stuffed Pork Chops like my mother made. I purchased this one after doing my research, when I got it I considered sending it back: Too much for just one dish, Seemed too big for just 2 of us. Then I read the recipes and decided to keep it even if just for My Mother's Pork Chops. They were WONDERFUL, just like I remember. Easier to use than the old one I had years ago, easy clean up. I would not try to brown in the pot tho, just as easy to do it on the stove and move to the pressure cooker. Many hints and tips online too. Love it.
