Yes, this food processor is a bit pricey, but it was the best money I ever spent. I had a blender/food processor combo, but it was too small for most of my needs and not nearly as powerful. This food processor is so powerful that it is cutting my preparation time in half. I also love the case for all of the accessories to keep them neat and all in one place. Changing bowls is very quick and easy. The biggest downside is that the top doesn't fit on the top rack of my dishwasher, so that I have to wash by hand, but every other bowl and blade will fit in the top rack. If you are on the fence about spending this kind of money; do it. You will love this thing!

I ordered the processor Feb 5 online, and Feb 7 received it in excellent condition. Finally, I have a processor which performs perfect. It's a dream for anyone who likes cooking. I tried every possible option: slicing, chopping, grating - got perfect slices of tomatoes, bell peppers, zuchini, carrots, onions, mushrooms, potatoes - etxremely speedy and quiet. The processor is user-friendly - easy to change discs and knives. 3 cups speed up processing. I had a blast with the machine and cooked a bunch of dishes. Clean up is also easy. Love it and strongly recommend it. Before using it, watch DVD - it helps and suggests plenty of dishes while showing how to use the machine.

This was my first food processor, so I can't compare this to anything else, but I haven't been pleased with it so far. I find it cumbersome both to use and to store. My bigger peeve is that although it is set up correctly (it won't work unless it is), for work like grating, it leaves huge pieces of the item (carrots, cucumbers, cheese) caught between the blade and the top of the machine. If I try and run it through the machine top again, I get the same results. I thought one of the numerous blades would be adequate to mix with (and with a 14 cup bowl, wouldn't that be a great idea?), but not so.

It delivers what it is meant to do! Cuts preperation time to minutes, makes spending time in the kitchen more enjoyable, and is easily cleaned on the toprack of the dishwasher. If some foodparticles do get stuck in the rubberring, just slant the top and run some water through the holes. Having three bowls of different sizes, and an adjustable slicing disk is really helping, space saving, and cutting prep-time, again.
It purees cooked, and then baked chicken bones easily! Once chicken bones are baked twice and simmered in a crock pot for 24-36 hours, they become brittle, so, one can use the pureed chicken bones to include in sauces, thus giving more fiber to one's diet and substance to ones meal.
