The camera is made for kids. My daughter is 4 and loves taking pictures. The camera is made to be tough. She does take so many pictures it runs out of space in about 2 or 3 days I think its about 300 pictures. The quality of the pictures are not that great but good enough for kids.

I was excited when I found this camera but my daughter got frustrated with it quickly because it wasn't that great and the view screen is really small. It is very hard to get the pictures off the camera too. She is almost 5 but I would prefer to spend the money on a cheap real digital camera.

The main thing to keep in mind is this is a child's camera. This was not meant to be a high quality digital camera. I bough this for a four year old child who sees me with my high end digital camera and is always begging to use it. This is the same child who has a tendency to drop things, like her brother's game system, frequently.
I read other reviews that stated the quality of the images was extremely low. That is true. You are not getting great photos out of this. You are getting instant gratification. She takes the photo, reviews it, takes another, and another, and another...of everything she sees. And she loves it. As she gets older and isn't going to drop things as much, we'll upgrade her camera, but this one is durable and doesn't break (I cannot count the times it's hit the ground already).
So image quality not great, durability great. If it's for a younger child who just wants to be able to snap away at everything they see in life, then this is a great first camera.

I was shopping for cameras for my nieces for Christmas. This was the only kids camera I found with decent ratings. I'm glad I tried the camera before I gave it to them because the picture quality was terrible. This may be appropriate for a child under 2 as a toy, but why bother?
