Very good quality materials. Heat diffusion poor. Have to pick up cover with mittens and sometime if left on too long, handle gets too hot to handle. Primariliy purchased for egss being cooked properly. Very good. Still use cooking spray prior to cooking and eggs drop out perfectly. The price was right.Like the handles for the each poacher. Can get hot but don't have to worry about screws getting loose as did our previous model.
Rated 1 out of 5Â by TonyV Good looking item, not a good poacher!
This poacher looks great but performs horribily! The egg yokes cook from the top while the bottom white stays raw; not a pleasant breakfast item. I tried various times but never found a happy medium. The eggs come out overcooked or raw!
I'm sorry I bought this item. I think the egg cups are too thick and do not transfer heat efficiently.

With the Farberware name I thought I was getting a good product. The plastic insets for the eggs were very small and actually melted on my second use. That's right, I used the egg poacher one time. As the water boiled , so did the plastic cups. I had to throw the entire pan away. One use.

I bought this egg poacher last Spring at the Michigan City, IN, outlet mall. I used for several months and liked it very much, but early one morning I started some eggs and two of the plastic cups melted onto the pan. I had forgotten to add water! The other two cups were warped around the lips that held them into the metal tray. One good thing, I now have a good small frying pan for two eggs: the melted cups popped right off and the pan washed clean.
