Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT over-the-calf-socks I have been desperately trying to find some more tan Goldtoe over-the-calf-socks from Kohl's but they have not had any in the store for a long time. The ones I have are wearing out with holes in the bottom. I read the review and one lady described these socks as the only ones that would stay up over her husband "big muscular calves" so I thought they would be great for me. When i tried putting them on i quickly realized they wouldn't work. I realize the review I read must have been inaccurate or I have much bigger calves than the woman who posted her review about her husband. I will never buy sock online again and I have basically wasted my money on the sets I ordered. These socks are mid-calf socks and won't stay up on me much longer than a few minutes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't buy them online--go to the store If I wanted black socks, I would have ordered black socks. It's not a "tan" combo, it's two tan of exactly the same and one black. I bought two sets, so instead of 6 pair of tan socks, I have 4. I already had plenty of black socks--blue might have been OK. It wasn't really the texture I was looking for, anyway, so next time I'll forego the online purchasing and use up some gasoline so I can see what I'm getting.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Tan Combo Not As Pictured The tan combo pack is pictured as three pairs of socks in various shades of tan. The actual product I received (and I ordered it twice) was two tan and one black. Although I can use the black pair I really wanted three pairs of tan socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Middleton Socks Gold Toe are the best socks out there. However, the previous style that I bought for my husband quickly wore holes in the soles. He likes the socks, but needed something a bit more durable. This time, I made sure I ordered a cotton blend. They are still thin enough to wear as dress socks, but seem much more substantial. I also notice that they do not get static-y in the laundry, as do the synthetics.
