As the owner of a Bissell Vacuum Cleaner and Bissell Light Steamer, I am very disappointed in the Spot Lifter PowerBrush. I had purchased it to clean sofa cushions, but I would probably have gotten better results by laying the cushion on the floor and using my carpet steamer. A 3-4" slit approx. 1/16" wide cannot remove any amount of water from the surface. I am extremely disappointed with the powerbrush product after being extremely satisfied with my vacuum cleaner and carpet steamer. I should have listened to the reviews, but had hoped that my experience would be better.

I've owned a few Bissell products and been very happy with them, but not this one! I previously owned the Little Green Clean Machine, had it for 5 years. I loaned it to my mother since I wanted to get something a bit smaller since we were moving to a small apartment from a house. It still worked great. I will be purchasing another Little Green Clean Machine and returning the Spot Lifter Powerbrush. The tank is too tiny, it leaks and it is definitely not a "deep cleaner" as the name implies. Also, the cord gets very twisted and doesn't have anything to wrap it around so putting away neatly doesn't happen. It just doesn't work well at all.

Entitled surprised as it didn't cost much and it worked very effectively. Having just cleaned my carpets, my dog threw up on the carpet. Apparently she'd been eating significant amount of grass, leaving quite the stain. Pre-treated with nature's miracle, I mixed the solution and began using this little cleaner without reading any instructions(very simple/intuitive). The bristle brush broke the stain free while the vacuum sucked up the remains(solution/stain). For the price of renting the carpet cleaner again, with all the hassle that entails, I took a chance and bought this little cleaner. Glad I did as I now have something I can use down the road.

I can't get this machine to draw up the water left on the carpet. It seems quite a few people have had the same problem. I've gone to the Bissell customer support section and checked everything they recommended. Still I cannot seem to achieve the proper angle that will suck up the cleaning solution. If you ask me, this little machine it dreadfully overengineered. My simple previous machine was quite handy. This one has features in the collection tank to prevent overfilling, but I can't ever imagine being able to draw up enough water to overfill it. It has brushes to dislodge the soil, but that sits on the carpet for lack of suction. I would return but it's past that date.
