I really like the size of this stainless steel pot for steaming veggies. I have never been able to find a pot of this size in stores unless it was part of a stainless steel set (multiple pots/pans), which I do not need. I was pleased to find this pot on line and was not disappointed when I put it to use. Now I no longer need to use my 10-qt steamer just to steam a moderate amount of veggies! Will be using this pot on a regular basis.

I like the product but the stainless steel pots are thinner than I thought they would be. Therefore, since it is not as heavy duty as I was hoping I think it is overpriced.
Nevertheless it steams well. I have not yet used the double boiler for melting chocolate. Hopefully it will work well also. I'm just not sure of its durability. I'm also concerned about whether or not it will maintain its value over time.

I really only wanted this for the steamer part...not so much the double boiler, so that is a plus. I had an old pot w/ steamer insert but the pot was anodized, or coated, and the chemicals or whatever in the water just ate away at the waterline that I used consistently for steaming vegetables. It didn't look safe to use anymore, so I bought this. The Stainless Steel is lovely in it's cleanliness, but is a little less in weight than I had hoped. That being said, I have already used it many times because I love fresh vegetables steamed - and have both hand washed, and put it in the dishwasher....and it still looks brand now.
I love it - and am very glad I bought it. And it is just the right size for my hubby and me, who even though its just two of us - we eat enough veggies for 4.... It's a great addition to my kitchen and I'm very happy with it!

I love the fact that I can look and order on line friom the gift registery my only thing that scares me is if they do not actually get the gift. The delivery guy does not have them sign for it because if they are not home it is just left on their doorstep. I wish I could have had it shipped to me and not to the Bride and Groom.
