This is my first video camera,I have an SLR digatial camera with several lens, and although I would bring all them along on a trip, I would just be able to use one at a time, and it really is a hassel to carry all that weight. Now getting to the video camera that I just bought, the price is within range of most cameras that have all the features of the HDC-TM60/PC.The OIS feature is really great for any mode, the 35X Zoom works very well from in to out, really enjoy the touch screen, the built in flash is a great feature also.So over all compared to others at same price range ,you relly get your moneys worth,it is light, compac, and very easy to operate.I give it a thumbs up.

compact, lightweight, more features than I need, video quality great, decent still photos - touch screen easy to use - overall a great camcorder at this price range
software better than expected: it automatically adjusts frame rate for editing based on your computer's speed so that video does not lock up - thought I might need a new PC, but it works great on my XP operating system with a Celeron processor - I don't have a Blue Ray burner yet, but the standard def DVD's I burned with the software look terrific on my 42" Plasma

My last panasonic was the vhs-c pv750. The camcorder was good, but the quality of the materials are off. Its rotating switch gave off. And now this new camcorder has sliding switch for the mode, small and plastic. How many thousands of flicking do u think it will last? I dont know and i dont want to experience that again. I returned my new HDC-TM.

Good quality, but the cups are a strange shape - very round. Not the traditional cup cake pan shape. If I were a professional baker looking for a traditional cup cake shape, I would have returned it.
