I wanted a manual brush sweeper that would pick up around our desks at work. Typical of any carpet in an office, the carpet gets dirty with pieces of paper, staples, and bits of food. Since the cleaning crew vacuums infrequently, I knew that the sweeper would get a lot of use.
The carpet is new and textured which does not make it easy to sweep with this sweeper. But even where the area is what I would consider easy to sweep, it takes a bit more back-and-forth motions to clean. I also feel that the sweeper does not feel very sturdy. The sweeper does its job, but I would have liked it to be of a better quality. I can see how other reviewers had problems with the handle breaking.

I received this as a birthday gift&Honestly,I've probably only used it2Ã's,because after assembly,I wanted to try it out,so attempted to,but it was So Very Dissapointing to say the least. It was given to me because I've Always been a big,"Hokey"user(another brand of manual sweeper,I owned1,but it ended up missing after I moved),&usually have good luck w/Bissell brand, but this time,No,this item is An Absolute Disappointment,in Every Way Possible! If it hadn't been a gift,I had a receipt&was ok w/being a rude&ungreatful person,I'd Most Definitely take & return it!
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Summertime Review and Suggestions for Bissell Natural Sweep
I really hated taking out our heavy vacuum for small jobs. I remembered owning a manual sweeper years ago, so we decided to purchase another. I am not disappointed in this little sweeper. It does a fairly impressive job considering its lack of gimmicks and technology. It's light and doesn't have to be plugged in, so It's super for a quick cleanup when company's coming. A battery-operated sweeper we recently owned was a pain in the neck because it's battery power was dismal and I was recharging it all the time.
I'm surprised how much dust it collects from the floor! It can also pick up heavier material like potting soil. It's effective for food particles, grass clippings, or bits of leaves, small stones, etc. It seems to handle most anything a broom is good for, only a lot faster. I like the fact that you can get under chairs, beds, and lots of other furniture.
Why doesn't Bissell make a SUPER MANUAL SWEEPER!? My Wish List: Increase the sweeper width by four inches; add about six inches to the handle length; change the handle to bracket on to BOTH sides of the sweeper; enable the cleaner tray doors to stay open for cleaning effectiveness; include a brush comb that snaps onto the handle and possibly add a third roller. I'd pay more money to own a Bissell Super Manual Sweeper!
Rated 5 out of 5Â by catmom Great for Kitty Litter on Basement Floor
Picked my up "Natural Sweep" today from Kmart. I needed a light, efficient sweeper specifically for picking up tracked kitty litter in the basement where my cats (2) litter boxes are located. My vacuum is to big & heavy for carrying up/down the stairs and the cord to short (always need an extension cord) for trying to get everywhere the kitty litter ends up. This sweeper works great! It picked up all of the kitty litter from the cement floor with no problem at all. I looked at cordless sweepers as well but I'm glad I choose the the Natural Sweep instead. It's quick, quiet and light weight and I don't have to bother with charging a battery.
