Rated 5 out of 5 by great product I had a Hoover wind tunnel and my husband decided to buy me a higher rated vacuum, according to Consumer reports. It was more expensive. I fought with that thing for a few years. It never picked up well, the hose kept falling off, and the dog hair was impossible to remove from the furniture using it. The only thing I liked about it was the long hose for doing steps. So I bought another wind tunnel and I love it. The dog hair on the couch is gone! The carpets are cleaner then they have been in years. I wish the hose was longer but I can't complain as it cleans so well. It is easy to use, easy to assemble and I don't mind vacuuming again! 02/21/2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by pros and cons I like the fact that this vacuum can go under beds unlike my cannister vac. The suction is amazing without sending dust bunnies flying up in the air. There are some great attachments for cleaning upholstery and stairs, but this machine weighs a LOT and when you use the hose attachments, the vac falls over. The self propelling is fine on carpets, but when you transition to hardwood the vac zips away from you and seems to have a life of its own. The black rubber around the edge of the vac marks baseboards, so you have to follow up with a magic eraser. I though I would like the wider base, but it's a bit clunky and hard to maneuver in smaller spaces. 10/01/2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Scratch and dent? This vacuum does clean well but it came out of the box with the tools already on board and with some scratches on the plastic parts. Certainly looked like it had been used and returned. We decided that would be okay as long as it worked well, and it did. However, the first time I tried to remove the turbo tool for use, the clip holding it in place snapped right off. That tiny little plastic piece is the only thing holding the tool in place, so either this needs to be returned or we will have to use Velcro or something to hold it there. Trying to decide if it is worth exchanging since it seems the next one will be as cheaply made. It does clean well. Very disappointed! 05/13/2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cleaning power, easy to use This is my second Hoover self propelled wind tunnel. My other is 11 years old and still works fine. Now it is for upstairs and the new one is for downstairs. It has great suction, and the self propelled function makes it easy to use. It is definitely worth the extra cost to get self propelled. The new one has some user friendly improvements, but same Hoover quality. Also I like the fact that it has bags. They are hepa filtered and when full just take out and throw away. I know the bagless vacuums are trendy now, but emptying and cleaning the filter is a hassle in my opinion. 03/12/2013
