Rated 4 out of 5 by good coffee We have a Keurig at work --which is why I now have one, because it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.I'm having a few issues with delayed or slow drip, even after descaling, so I pray it doesn't conk out. Anyway, this is a great coffee. Some mornings, it has tasted just the slight bit too bitter, but I think it's because I was reaching for it everyday, so perhaps I just have different moods. I just ordered some, and I have a beef that the price is higher than the others. Keurig, is it your practice to raise the price on one of your best selling coffees? That's bull. It's almost a dollar higher. Hmmm, that little dollar sure adds up to more profit for Keurig... 01/06/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best coffee ever! Newman's coffee has a very rich taste and is a bold coffee even though it says it is a medium roast. I like knowing it is organic but wish they would switch to a more eco-friendly packaging. 06/24/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Now this is good coffee I just got a Keurig this past week and have been trying a variety of coffees, teas and cocoa. There is a lot of variety, which is nice, but so far only a few that I have tried have been real stand-outs. Newman's Special Blend Extra Bold is one of them. This coffee has a very smooth taste and great flavor - like you just poured a cup from a fully brewed pot. Most of the k-cup coffees I've tried have been weak or slightly off-tasting. I wont talk about the cocoa I tried here. That deserved its own review. However, this coffee, in addition to being organic, is really a great cup of joe. I have not yet enjoyed a better k-cup coffee. I highly recommend Newman's Own Extra Bold to those who enjoy rich tasting coffee. 11/19/2011
Rated 4 out of 5 A good medium bold for large cups When I first tried Newman's, I brewed the 7.25 oz. (pre-set factory). I realized that it wasn't enough coffee and that the coffee was a little strong and slightly acidic or bitter. I generally drink out of a coffee mug so I started setting the cup size to the larger size (9.25 oz). The coffee smoothed out nicely with no bitter or acidic taste. The boldness obviously decreased to a more medium bold not a french roast style but a good full body coffee. Just the way "I" like it since I drink my coffee black. If looking for a breakfast style flavor, then I would use 1 K-cup and set the setting on the smaller cup size(3.25oz) and then brew the larger cup size (9.25oz) and put it in my travel mug (a total of 12.5 oz). 01/13/2010
