Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice and big This is nice and big and works well. I hope it holds up as well as the old one that I had. 10/23/2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do you like food getting stuck under the rim? I love the design of this colander and it looks great. It's good quality. But the problem is in the design. The metal rim that goes around the top of the mesh is open at the bottom, so when you flip it over to drain your [noodles/veggies/rice], the food gets stuck under the rim. It's hard to get out, and - God forbid - if you miss one and it dries up under the rim, it's really gross. I'm not sure why the rim isn't closed (or at least closely tapered) at the bottom to prevent this. But for me, it's a deal breaker. I hate to throw it away, so I might donate it. But then it will cause someone else this problem .... Ugh. 11/01/2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great colander, GREAT value. This is a wonderfully large, well-draining colander that is PERFECT for draining over the sink. It's very sturdy, and the telescoping handles make it expand to fit any size sink -- great for rinsing veggies, etc. I used it to drain the juice from cooked fruit, though, and did not have a bowl BIG enough to fit under it. (Guess I'll be buying a giant deep bowl soon.) I just saw something like this yesterday at one of the warehouse clubs, but it was MUCH smaller and MUCH more expensive, so this one is a GREAT value. 11/11/2010
