After my husband had surgery for a sarcoma cancer in the back of his right knee, he found that he was experiencing a lot of swelling from just below the knee down to his foot. The only comfortable socks we found for him were these ankle socks. The cuff is not overly tight; a tight cuff does not help the swelling. We were thankful to find these socks.

i do a lot of walking and finding a pair of socks that actually are a benefit to my feet are a godsend. these socks are soft and feel like nylon, but they are mostly polyester.they don't choke your ankles, they are easy to put on. they do a good job of keeping your feet dry. the feel so good on your feet that you may want to wear them all the time. i recommend them and the crew sock version to any one who suffers from tight socks that bind and choke your feet

These Dr. Scholls mens socks were the best choice I ever made for my husband. He stands on his feet all day at work, so he needs to be comfortable. He said they are the softest, best fitting socks ever! I ordered him 6 pair and I plan to order more. And did I mention that after he wore them all day, they stayed so fresh on his feet, there was no odor at all so he wore them a second day, before I washed them ! lol

There is very little elasticity in the top of the sock and on my large feet they eventually slip down over my heel. They are advertised to fit feet that are size 7-12, but I would not recommend them for anyone with feet that are size 9 or larger. With smaller feet the socks will be higher above the ankle and may not slip down as much.
