After 25 years my crock pot died and we used it weekly during the winter months. I bought this one and never had a chance to use it before I've decided to take it back. I found that it was tippy and worried that it would not travel well without falling over. The picture shows that is has 2 legs in the front when in fact those are not the legs. There are 2 silver pipe like legs underneath that where not centered well on the one I purchased. I've heard good things about Hamilton Beach but I could not recommend this crock pot if you have small kids, plan to travel with it, or use it on a regular basis.

I picked this up yesterday, using the super-convenient "order in your jammies and pick up at Kohls when you're out running errands" feature and it was priced in the TEENS! I just had to make it a second slow-cooker for the counter this summer...waaaay too warm to be heating up the oven for dinner during the hottest part of the day. The stainless looks attractive and after a quick soak, the removable crock cleans up in a flash. There's just something great about putting dinner on to prepare itself as you clean up after lunch, isn't there!

I purchased this crock pot as a supplement to my 1st Hamilton Beach 6 qt. slow cooker, which is wonderful, I use it for crock pot lasagna, soup; and, for Thanksgiving, I make my stuffing on Wednesday using chicken or turkey broth for liquid, put it in the crock pot insert and refrigerate overnight. In the a.m., I plug the crock pot, heat the stuffing on high for one hour, then lower the temp. for three hours. It comes out perfect, and there's no digging in the turkey for the stuffing at the last minute (plus you can add more for leftovers)! My sister made the mashed potatoes, and kept them warm for dinner in her Hamilton Beach crockpot!

Nice size for a larger family. We have 5 and it fits a 6 lb whole chicken with potatoes. Cooks evenly. I especially like the Keep Warm setting that my last slow cooker did not have. The lid is glass though so you have to be very careful with it.
