Cannot install by using the directions. Rod "locks up" at wrong length, then, after being unlocked, will spin and will not re-lock at appropriate length for task. Is not "adjustable". Rod will just telescope on itself. Will not stay locked upon installation. Cannot be locked at far end using cap even though directions say to do so. Will be returned, as any attempts to unlock result in rod just turning without locking. Will not stay up even with very lightweight shower curtain. Like another poster, I had no problems with the "old technology" especially since this "new technology" doesn't get the job done.

I got two of these rods in white to upgrade our bathrooms from the plain and ugly ones the builder put in. They look great, but were a little hard to install. The directions tell you to twist it to tighten and after a few tries I finally got them to stay. Even my husband commented on how good they look!

I have had this shower rod for 3 weeks. First of all it does not grip to the wall correctly and keeps falling down. Second , it is a big rusty mess. The whole rod has turned into rust which has stained my brand new shower curtain. The rod is going back this week!

This rod is a bit confusing if you need to lengthen and tighten. They say its a new technology. I never found a problem with the old technology. Luckily, I didn't have to lengthen it and used it as it came.
