I bought this set of cutlery from my husband for father's day.
We have never owned a really good set of cutlery in our over 30 years of marriage and finally wanted to invest in a great set of knives. I read the reviews on this one along with other sets and decided to purchase this set.
The only problem was the picture of the set online was very small so it made it hard to determine the actual size of the butcher block the knives go it.
I am so glad I did go with this set. It has an attractive style with a high end set of knives. I would recommend this set. My husband is so pleased with this set and so am I.

These knives seem a tad pricey but are worth every penny. We wanted to have ONE nice set of knives that would serve all our needs. This set is it! Every knife we have used from this set has met or exceeded our expectations. They are attractive on our counter as well. The steak knives are not serrated and I have read complaints to that effect but they cut through steak like a hot knife through butter and worked just fine. Now I feel I can safely find new homes for all of my old knives and they are numerous. One word of caution.....these knives are SHARP!! both my husband and I have cut ourselves with first use.

I have owned this set for about 3 years. After about a year the a stake knife broke the tip falling in the sink, I thought that's strange it shouldn't do that. Other tips followed on a few other knifes, I notice after awhile with regular maintenance they lost their edge literally, I mean the edge on the big knifes and few small ones look as if chunks of metal have broken loose. If you invest this much money in a knife set, you should expect them to last a long time. I am very disappointed. Also I like my blades to have a little weight to them these are light and frail. The stake knifes also are not serrated which is good and a bad thing, depending on what you cutting. Easier to sharpen but less functional use.
Mr old set of knifes I took to work which where the classic steel, ones from cook. They all have their edge no chunks out and are in better condition then these and they are about a decade old. I feel regret and frustration over the amount I invested in these. I can only describe them as a polished piece of junk.
