Rated 5 out of 5 by Very large capacity, yet still fits under cabinet. This mixer provides a larger bowl and larger attachments for bulk baking. I bake on a regular basis and in large quantities every week and this mixer serves that purpose. If you need to double or triple cookie, pie or bread recipes this is a perfect mixer. The attachments are easy to clean and storage is surprisingly compact for the larger capacity. It is no louder than any other mixer when at the highest setting with the bowl completely full. The lever tilt release is a great feature on this model as well. It has a nice sleek, easy to clean, modern look. 02/20/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by The power to do the job! After researching many standmixer reviews online, I had little or no doubt which stand mixer I wanted and why. Most stand mixers are 450 watts or less. Most hand mixers are 250 -450 watts. Proof that most stand mixers simply can not handle heavy work loads. This Cuisinart has a full 1000 watts of power. More than enough to handle even the heaviest of breads and cake batters. You would mow your lawn with a weedeater, so why mix bread dough with an oversized hand mixer! 03/20/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by my new toy! Didn't know why I wanted a mixer this big (7qts) (1000wts), but am so glad I splurged and bought it. It's a little taller (2-3 inches) than the 4.5- 6qt mixers but still fits on the counter for storage. I like the industrial look to it and the fact it is heavy duty. I ususally blow up everything else...or they start on fire. Seriously. I'm terrified of most appliances. My "old" (only had it 2yrs) microwave sparked and flamed up inside and blew out the wall circuit (sparks and flame also) which also had to be replaced. Hand mixer did same thing and left black grit in frosting, but left circuit intact. Bought new hand mixer from Kohl's 2 yrs ago and still works. So I decided to get the BIG STAND MIXER for things like 3-tiered (2 layers each tier) cakes and triple batches of cookies. We do alot of parties and bake sales. For these big projects this stand mixer is a godsend and my house is still in one piece! 10/10/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great heavy duty mixer I had a Blakeslee (aka Kenwood) 7 qt. heavy duty stand mixer for 35 years. Never had any problems with it until I went to mix up something and the blade wouldn't turn. The motor still ran, but a gear must have worn out. Tried to have it fixed, but it was riveted together with no way to get inside. The "beast" finally kicked the bucket. I was hesitant to buy the popular brand you see everywhere because my daughter has one and isn't happy with it. She knew what I'd had for so many years, how well it mixed and said hers didn't hold up in comparison. I saw this Cuisinart mixer online and because it was so similar to the one I'd had such good results with, I decided to order. I'd say it's everything my old one was (just updated styling). I love the 7 qt. bowl. Some reviews say it's loud when mixing, maybe - but I think that's to be expected for such a heavy duty machine. In my opinion, this Cuisinart is a better value for the money than the brand you see everywhere else. 12/15/2012
