Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Variety! Active Play! The Wild About Animals- Ready Set Roar is another LR hit in our home. We went through most of the game suggestions in the instructions and the kids had a blast. From Color Matching Mat Jumping to practicing Animal Noises and Sleeping Habits, to Animal Facts and Matching Mats, the kids loved the variety of play. The Wild About Animals: Ready Set Roar definitely encourages active play. The kids were hopping, jumping, and running from square to square and after the dice. Since we played outside, they loved being able to throw the blocks as high as possible. The giggles were non-stop and we are really enjoying this game. *I received a sample in exchange for an honest blog review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Variations of Play My kids need constant stimulation and activities so I knew I'd have to plan a lot for this week while they were both off school and home with me! We like to spend time outside and visiting places but sometimes you just want to stay home. That's when games like Wild About Animals come in handy! We spent an afternoon with my sister and her kids and the weather wasn't nice enough to be outside. With six antsy kids under one roof, it was time to put our new game to use! As I read the directions, the first thing that immediately impressed me was that there were so many different options. This isn't a game with one set of directions and rules. You can do all different kinds of things with it! I just went down the list and tried each one! Some they liked better than others so we did those longer. With the animal print mats and foam cubes there's really not a whole lot to it but it can literally provide hours of entertainment. From simply rolling the cube and having them act like the animal it lands on to a different version of Simon Says, the possibilities are endless! The roam mats and cubes are soft so when someone gets mad and throws them (as happened), no one gets hurt and nothing gets broken! It's a safe way for kids to active, use their imaginations and creativity and stay occupied! It's rated for 3+ and we had a four year old that was able to follow directions and do the simpler games and enjoy it and a nine year old who was equally entertained! The Wild About Animals game from Learning Resources is my kids new favorite activity. They each have their favorite variation but they both can agree that this is what they want to play!
