Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great item! Lots of entertainment My daughter is 3 and really loves this product. Besides using it for the obvious reason, we also have fun pretending its our birthdays and we "wrap" up the different cards in the boxes and give them to each other as gifts. I really love that this features real items on the cards and that they are not just cartoony drawings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps Children Learn Shapes in Fun Way! Learning Resources Shape Sorting Presents set is a great tool to add to any classroom for children ages three years old and up! This particular set comes with 96-pieces which includes 6 shape shorting presents each representing its own shape, 90 shape sorting cards, and a very helpful suggested activities guide. My daughter whom is almost four years old is really enjoying this set. We've made up several games of our own and I used the suggested activities guide to easily plan out our weekly homeschooling day. This set is very eye catching! Each shape sorting present box features boldly represents its particular shape with colorful patterns that are perfect to keep the attention of young children. The lids of each box are also removable and make for storing and and keeping things organized away in our classroom a cinch! The 90 shape sorting cards included feature real-life images to help children recognize shapes around them. For instance on one of the circle cards, there is a picture of a bright yellow button and on one of the square cards, there's a picture of a slice of white bread. On one of the oval cards is a picture of a very colorful Easter egg and so on. The set itself is very durable and I imagine will last for a very long time. The quality of this product is highly appealing as I plan on using this for my son when he's the right age for it. Overall, the Shape Sorting Presents set helps children to recognize several different shapes, learn about grouping , practice sorting skills, and much more! I would highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sorting Some Shapes Today I was honored to be able to review Shape Sorting Presents from Learning Resources and this was so much fun! I L-O-V-E the real-world idea and can even see using the cards as more of a vocabulary lesson than math in some instances. Just talking about words like kiwi, target, or wigwam will increase the basic knowledge of such things. This really can be used for so many ideas in the classroom during centers, whole group (throw a car under a doc cam), or during intervention periods! Even better is that the boxes are cute (made to look like presents and all kids love presents) and are super sturdy with just the right size slit in the top. These boxes will hold up for quite some time. Same for the cards. They have a nice laminating on the outside - and all use real world pictures, not clip art. Shape Sorting Presents would make a wonderful addition to any K-4 classroom!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great teaching tool! Isabella was able to test out the Shape Sorting Presents. Not only is this plain-out fun, but it is quite valuable concerning education. Bella is now learning shape recognition, vocabulary and basic math skills, due to this highly creative game. With my assistance, she can match up the pictures on the cards with the correct present boxes. These colorful and uniquely patterned boxes are just the right size for my 2 1/2 year old's little hands. It warms my heart to see her set them on her picnic table and go to work. The cards are a great resource, as they provide a shape outline on the back - just in case Bella needs aide in choosing which shaped box is the accurate one. Isabella thoroughly enjoys filling her noggin with more and more information. This game is proof that learning doesn't have to be boring. It can be exciting! Thanks to this game, she has broadened her vocabulary by at least 10 words. Her most-used word now is "star"!
