Ive had my keurig for about 4 yrs and have been looking for about a yr at the newer models coming out. Ive been looking into buying a new one but the reviews Ive been reading havent been too good. I seen this model and was hoping this was the solution to the complaints Ive been reading. I followed all directions getting it set up. Every cup of water it processed smelled like hot plastic. I went through 6 full reservoirs of water and finally got 1 cup of water that was normal. I thought it was ok now. The next morning made a cup of coffee and it tasted like hot plastic! I started to run another cup of water and it made the noise as if it was pulling the water but no water was pulling from the reservoir and nothing was coming out. I returned it that day.

I have mixed feelings regarding this Keurig. I purchased this for my dad and he seems to like it as it is new and he can make himself an individual cup of coffee, tea or cocoa when he likes. The quality seems very good, heats the water quickly and is compact compared to the older models. HOWEVER, as an owner of the original Keurig, this K55 is different in the sense that the reservoir for water holds less. This won't be a problem if you do not have many people making coffee but it might be an issue if you are used to the old Keurig that holds more water like the B60. It also needs a different filter basket for your ground coffee of choice and be aware that when the My-K-Cup filter reads for "all Keurig coffee makers" that is not true as this one needs an updated filter.
