Kitchenaid needs a better manufacturer since they switched from the Hobart made units, one of which I have had for 20+ years. The new attachments are very poor quality. Right out of my box I found that the wire whisk tines were pitted, and the flat beater had a chip of paint off it. Possibly they were purchased and returned damaged. However the wire whisk is not all stainless and has to be hand washed now which is very time consuming if you have ever tried it. The plastic pouring shield doesn't even fit on the bowl. I am going to use the mixer as much as possible before the 30 day return period. If it skips or lags in power, it is going back! I did complain about the damaged attachments to Kitchenaid's customer service and they sent me replacements promptly.

I wanted to buy this mixer because it's like a right of passage to have one. I finally used it and I see what all the fuss is about. This machine is the Cadillac of stand mixers! The ingredients blend together almost immediately, the quality is superb and it's pretty to boot! So glad I purchased this mixer!

I needed to replace my kitchen aid mixer after a house fire and on my old mixer I didn't have a handle on my bowl and I knew my new one had to have it..so glad I paid the extra money because the handle is very helpful. ..a must have.
The color is perfect and the new flour funnel, not sure of the name, is much better then the old 2 piece one.
