Rated 1 out of 5Â by meohmy123 won't heat to temp! DO NOT BUY!
This grill would have been great if it worked. I only found a small sheet of paper inside with cleaning instructions and a limited # of instructions on how to use the grill. However I guessed on the temp I would need and programmed the grill to 400 for some 4 turkey burger patties. I let it heat up for about 10 min and then put the burgers on. 20 min later I still had no grill marks and the patties were just white and baked looking. I have owned 3 other Forman grills without the removable grates and buttons, they have all been amazing. I used them until the non stick surfaces wore out. This grill however is trash. They should just pull it off the shelves.

I've had several George Foreman grills and have loved them. This one, however, never actually gets as hot as the old ones did. I used an infrared thermometer to check the plate temp, and after I had it set to 350, even tho the machine said it had reached that temp, the thermometer on the bottom plate showed 225, and on the top plate 250. I increased the temp control to 425, let it heat for 10 minutes (the machine did not ever say it got there), and checked the temps again. This time it was a bit higher -- the top plate got to 280 -- no where near the 425 or even the 350 it was originally set for. Very frustrating.

I was in a terrible accident almost 6 months ago and have the use of one hand now and that's the reason I bought this particular grill. I can easily take the grill plates off with one hand and can use the grill with one hand. It cooks very well and is a breeze to clean up especially since you can throw the plates in the dishwasher. Highly recommended this!!!

PROs MODEL: GRP99BLK I've kept this grill only because it is so easy to clean up. The cooking surfaces are easy to snap off and wash. If they would fix the problems listed below I would rate this product a five star. CONS It takes 11 minutes to preheat to 425 degrees and even then does not brown the meat as it should. (My previous cheaper grill only required 5 minutes to preheat and always browned the meat.) The power cord is only 24 inches long! Not long enough for my kitchen. It needs a 16 inch vertical space when opening the lid, so measure your counter top clearance before buying this model.
