Rated 4 out of 5 by from No mess and lots of fun My kids know I won't purchase Play-Doh because of the mess it makes. So when this arrived today and I told them they could open it and play, they were thrilled. They loved the texture (compared it to Rice Krispies) and that it stayed in the formation they set it. And cleanup was a breeze! Thanks to Educational Insights for the product in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've bought so much Playfoam over the years... As an Educational Insights Insider, we received this toy for review in our State-of-the-Art Toy Testing Facility here at Rock Father HQ (our house). I've bought so much Playfoam over the years... in fact, it was the first product I ever purchased from an Educational Insights booth at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair some years back. The kids love it, and my wife and I love it as well - a way to tap into much of the same creative play and artistic appeal as modeling clay or various "dough" products, but without the mess. This particular set is fun, but the "undersea" vibes are really just a cool way to package it. Every parent that's ever purchased Playfoam knows that it NEVER stays separated by colors, and eventually it's all mixed together in a big ball... but that's totally fine. No matter what the shape, the kids love forming it into new creations over and over again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's so-so... My kids had fun with this for a couple days but it quickly got put aside and ignored. I think maybe the issue was that it wasn't as easily molded as Play-Doh? They had fun smushing all the colors into one rainbow colored mass, and then pushing the foam into the shapes of the packaging, but creating their own shapes didn't work as well. Overall they had fun but it didn't captivate them for long. We'll hold on to it and get it out again one day when they've forgotten about it but for our family it wasn't a huge hit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a toy for us. My daughter is 5 yrs old and she completely had fun until she mixed the foam up, as a parents I was not a fan of the foam, hard to clean up, as she played the foam fell apart made a pretty big mess. Once she mixed the foam up she had no interest in playing so it was a one time deal and went straight to the garbage. I have a little one who's currently crawling, therefore it was not safe to keep due to that small pieces falling. I gave this 4 stars because it kept my little one entertained for a day and we probably would've kept it if it wasn't for the small pieces falling, unfortunately the vacuum did not pick up the pieces so I manually had to pick them up... Pain!
