Rated 2 out of 5 by from Major Shrinkage Ok, I never write reviews but felt I needed to on this one. The shirt is very nice, fit my boyfriend great and slightly large in the store. Perfect since it was 60% cotton and we took shrinkage into consideration. Got home, washed the shirt as I always do before it is worn and it shrunk terribly. Sleeves that were roomy and fell well below the wrist were now at least an inch from his wrist and that was without extending his arms! Length? What length. This shirt shrunk probably about 2" in length. To put it bluntly, it now looked like he was a grown man in a kids shirt! Very disappointed in that and it has to be returned. I am tired of paying good money and just letting things like this go. Advise...if you buy this, buy it one size larger than you usually wear. Might seem big when you buy it but hopefully will actually fit after washing!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from XL is not XL The shirt looks great, but it runs much smaller than its sizing. The sleeves were a little tight, but the shirt was very tight in the stomach. I don't have a large gut or anything like that -- but I would need a XXL for it to fit comfortably, and who knows if at that size it would look too big. I generally wear L and XL shirts/sweaters. Unless you are wanting a more skin-tight fit, look for a different shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic contemporary and slim fit henley This is one of the best overall long sleeve casual shirts I've found in recent years- it's why I bought practically every color. It's warm but not hot with just the right balance of weight/warmth and lightness, It has a contemporary long fit (especially welcome for a taller man like myself) so be warned if you don't like longer shirts, this isn't for you (see below for elaboration on that). The fit throughout the body is definitely slim fitting - it's not called a slim fit shirt, but that's what it is- if you have ANY extra weight you wish to hide? You either need to go up a solid size or buy something else because it'll show anything around the waist. Conversely if you have all that work in the gym you still want people to see even in the winter months- when wearing the proper size, this shirt do that very well. So sizing- again I can only use myself as a measuring stick and let you decide if the fit is right although I always advise trying on in store first. I will say this shirt is consistent across all colors (they're made in the same factory from what I can tell-not all Kohl's products are and the sizing can be off color to color) so if you get a sample of each size you can know what works then even order online. I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall, an athletic 225-230 lbs; for reference my slim fit suits are 44L pushing to 46L and I wear dress shirts with 36/37 sleeves (which BARELY fit). With that said I need an XL in this shirt- and it fits JUST right- sleeves are right past my wrist bone, shoulder seams are lined up right and the fit is form fitting, revealing but not too tight. I fear this shirt in XL probably won't fit next winter with another 15 lbs in upper body mass so keep that in mind that my experience is almost a tailored level fit so YMMV. Overall, I don't think you can get a better shirt of this type, with this color variety, fit and comfort within double it's price point- it might be one of Kohl's best 2016 products bar none (along with the Dirty Deeds color variant of the R&R straight jeans). All that said I want to to dispel a couple "negatives" I'm reading in other reviews for this shirt because they fall under the category of calling a deliberate feature of the product a flaw- there's a difference between a poor product and you don't like a feature of the product that's intentional. First- this shirt isn't too long, it's what's called a "contemporary fit" and it's designed to go to just below where most mens underwear elastic is or halfway down the fly. This came about because many men were sick of moving in any direction but straight and having the back of the shirt be suddenly 3 or 4 inches above their waist showing their back- it was a look first seen in the mainstream in with particular rapper/actor's clothing line and you can see him wearing it to this day on his TV show. So- that's the design- you may not like it, but it's not a flaw (that would be like those who complain slim fit shirts are too revealing...that's the point). Second- shrinkage. Here's the thing- unless you WANT something to shrink, please don't wash it in warm or hot (or even cold), put it in the dryer on any setting though likely the hottest-and then complain they don't fit anymore. Most clothes from a place like Kohls that have ANY cotton in them WILL SHRINK if you do that, it's a fact of life. I've had 50/50 blends shrink nearly a size doing that- it's why I don't put ANY clothing I wear out of my house in a dryer. PERIOD. Sorry folks, but if you want it to fit like you bought it, you need to cold wash delicate, air dry (or dry clean)- which is what I do with all my shirts, all my jeans, everything- basically you have to treat everything like you would a suit unless you want to walk around in 60/40 poly blends or 100% poly looking like your grandfather. I bought 6 of these shirts, I've washed them multiple times that way, they haven't changed dimensions at all.
