Rated 4 out of 5 by from Please learn how to use cast iron Cast iron is different that cooking on other types of pans. The pan must be heated for a couple of minutes before putting oil or butter in. Then you can put the food in. If you want to really sup up the pan's performance, grind/sand the casting down smooth and reseason...you'll be amazed. Always put a light coating of oil on the pan after cleaning to prevent rusting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rough texture scratches The skillet has a rough texture to it similar to sand paper. It will easily scratch glass or ceramic flat top electric stoves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice skillet I was a little worried about the quality before I received it. I purchased for a gift. I have my mother's old cast iron, and the 8" Food Network cast iron as well. This brand takes a bit to get seasoned properly but they are nice, heavy, good quality cast iron. Very good heat distribution, nice skillets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Food gets stuck looks good and feels heavy. Big for my regular burner. As instructed washed with soap and water before using. Heated, oiled and then started to cook. Food started to stick and entire dinner was wasted. Tried again after cleaning, wiping dry. Same results. Will return to store.
