I got this curling iron due to the good reviews. However, I have naturally curly hair and yet if i use this my curls fall out within 30 minutes and i have straight hair. I have no problem with other curling irons or hair straighteners and only bought this curling iron because i wanted a larger barrel. I would not recommend this curling iron at all

For the past 8+ years, when I wanted curls I used my hot rollers. After wanting some looser waves and getting a gift card for a gift, I decided to treat myself. I chose this reasonably priced larger curling iron and am totally impressed. I love how quickly it heats up (30 seconds) and how it can dry your damp hair as you curl with the built-in steam vents. As an added bonus, you also get a heat shield cover in case you have to dash it away in a suitcase quickly after use or keep it out of little hands.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by lysak89 I've only had this for a week or so, but I'm really loving it so far. Heats up quickly and curls my hair beautifully, and the curls stay without needing hairspray. I've actually knocked down the time it takes to do my hair by 10 minutes with this iron. I like the different heat settings it offers and I haven't had an issue of accidentally turning it off. My hair glides through easily and doesn't snag on the clamp or anything. I also like that it came with a heat shield.

I'm sorry to say that I threw away my receipt so I cannot return this item. This curling iron burned some of my hair off! After a couple of uses I noticed that strands and sections of my hair were only about 2" in length when my hair is actually past my shoulders. I used this curling iron at my roots in order to give volume to my crown... but instead I now have spiky strands and sections that are less than 2" long. Do NOT buy this curling iron if you fine hair.
